Avery Brown, Week 01 Journal
This week has, so far, been a pretty good start to the quarter. I feel better about this project already, and my week was spent logging an amount of hours that I have not logged yet ever. Without Fernsler’s class, I have a massive amount of time and energy now. My schedule is set so that I can work all day every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. This means that I had no reason to work this weekend. My anthropology class was looking like an ominously work-intensive dead weight, so I dropped it like it was hot!
My work for this week consisted of a bunch of modeling. Railings! Trusses! Weird angles and instances galore! The reactor room is the most elaborate set in the picture, so I am concentrating on making it shine! As for the rest, Chris and I sat down and discussed what needed to happen for the layout of the hallways. There is a bunch of work left to do, but I am confident that I can do it.
Hours breakdown:
- Environment Modeling 16:45
- Website Administration 3:00
- Paperwork: 0:45
- Adviser Meeting: 1:30
- Group Meeting: 1:00
- Environment Meeting: 1:00
Total: 24:00
Examples:
Positives:
I dropped anthropology and now I have a ton of free time open to just work on this project. I logged a very nice amount of hours and I feel like I got a lot done.
Negatives:
None really this week, just wait for things to really get rolling.
