Encounters of the First Week Kind
Welcome back, me! It’s the start of another ( and final term) of my senior project. It’s time for us to finish everything in a short amount of time, and this week has proven good so far. I’m a part time student this quarter, so I have a lot more time to dedicate to SPROJ. I got a LOT of work done, upwards to 40 hours of work. The best part is, I don’t feel extremely exhausted. At the way I’m animating currently, we should be on track for our next big milestone at the end of week 04. This week I spent most of my time animating sc04. I got a lot of polishing finished, and I’m pretty happy with the state they’re in right now. In addition to general animating, I tweaked any rigs that needed to be finished and modeled any additional items that were going to be in the shots. But, for the most part, I animated my butt off.
Most of my shots this week consisted of the janitor and the mad scientist. It’s kind of difficult to animate each of the characters based on their own personalities, and not get them muddled. I think I have a better grip on the janitor’s movements than the mad scientist… he’s far too spastic for the animation I’ve been doing. It’s hard to switch gears from jumping from shot to shot. I think I like animating black gold the best out of all of them though. He has just the right amount of “oomph” in his performance to make animating extremely fun.
