Juan Garzon Week 01 Journal

Juan Garzon

Last term! Let’s make it a good one!

This week was destined to treat the best parts of our animations as precious stones and begin to “polish” them for the rendering and compositing part of our production pipeline. This week I was working cleaning up several shots for scene 04 and scene 01 before the start of week 2.

The clips below showcase the differences the scene had prior to polish and afterward:

Aside from working on cleaning up the animation for the shots due for this week, the team began to set due dates for several shots based off the amount of polish needed for every scene. In addition to setting up the due dates, the team has set up several more dailies meeting for group feedback on animation oriented work.

Positives highlights of the week: Polishing the animation has been a success so far. The team’s lab environment has been a lot more energetic this past week (may have something to do with the weather, but that’s just me)

Negative highlights of the week: Currently none so far, I spent a bit too much time than I should have with one of the animation files, and that slowed me down for the week; however, the plan is to make sure to work more efficiently in that front.
