Burning the Midnight Oil
I think some good things happened this week. Since the midterm update, we have refined the animatic timing and it is looking much much better. We’re in the process of showing it to as many people as we can (including Nick on Monday) in order to get the timing down completely. Meanwhile, we are always working to improve the timing. Since then, I’ve gone back and revisited the necessary shots in order to animate to the appropriate length. I’ve also helped edit the animatic timing in Premiere. In addition to that, we also shot a lot of reference footage for when we really start to get into animating.
It was a pretty average work week and things are coming along. I’m getting a little nervous with deadlines though, but I think we can do it if we buckle down and just do what needs to get done.
Hours breakdown:
- Advisor Meeting: Met with John Berton to explain what we did over the week: (2 hours)
- Group Meeting: Went over what we accomplished during the week: (1.5 hours)
- Re-timing shots: Worked on re-timing shots for the animatic: (20 hours)
- Reference footage: Shot reference footage in the mocap room: (3 hours)
- Rig Debugging: Debugging faulty rig. Ditching this because it’s going to be re-rigged anyway: (1 hour)
Total: 27.5 Hours
