With last Monday off we met with our advisor Tuesday, and got feedback on the current animatic that I had put together. Later in the week we split the shots and I started working on mine as well as changing some of the story we got feedback on. Primarily this week I worked on rigging the Janitor. Everything went really well, until it didn’t, and while I have it about 85% of the way there for the body, the broken IK arms have been a thorn in my side all week. I’ve redone them multiple times and always run into a new problem, so thats annoying. I’m hoping once I get 2-3 more controllers he can at least be put into scenes and posed for a rough feeling of how scenes will look with him in it. Anyway, hours –

– CU Mad Scientist. Mad Scientist Looks up at screen angrily, then behind him to the failing reactor, then over to where Ralph stands, then double take and points. “Hey! You!”
– OTS Mad Scientist > XCU Ralph Face. Crash zoom on Ralph as he looks up, mop in hand.
– CU Mad Scientist. “Stop him!” Pointing between Ralph and the screen.
-CU Ralph.Ralph looks up to the screen.
-CU Main Screen. Black Gold standing in front of a door with a large sign above (Main Reactor Room ^ Kitchen > etc.) punches it in, the entire door tearing away and down the hallway. He wipes his hands on one another.
-CU Ralph. “Me?” Ralph asks incredulously.
– MS Mad Scientist. Mad Scientist, scrambling around a control panel turns back and barks – “You’re the only other person here! What do I pay you for?!” (*Slams pannel with wrench* on What! … think!…Pay you for!*)
– MS Ralph. Beat…Ralph points to his mop and replies dryly and a little sarcastically – “To clean.”
– CU On screen. A green bar on the main screen marked Core Stability rises drops below a certain point and becomes red.
– MS Mad Scientist. The Mad Scientist, full body tugging back on a stuck lever, it snaps off and falls to his back. He holds the lever and almost calmly says from his back “You know, you’re right, you should fix THE REACTOR!”
– MS Ralph. With a deep breath and a look up at the reactor, then nods “I’ll try and slow him down at least.” Ralph shakes his head a little annoyed “I do not get paid enough for this” as he turns towards the stairs. Offscreen you can hear a WHIRL then a loud WHACK and the scream of the Mad Scientist.
