Through Sick and Thin
This was another fairly average workweek. Unfortunately, during my usually most productive days (the weekend), my body decided it would be a great time to come down with a bug. I’m still a little sick, but I’m trying to push through it. Otherwise, I’m still doing what I usually do. I kept animating and tweaking the super hero rig. In addition to those though, I did some experiments with some lightning effects in Nuke to “spark” up our animatic. We’re at the point in our pipeline where we need the animatic to read as a coherent story without any placeholder cards or explanation. I’m playing with a Nuke gizmo that lets me generate procedural lightning. I overlayed it on some of the videos so they read better,
Animating is getting a little exhausting. I still enjoy it, but I’m having difficulties finding the drive to keep pushing forward. I know we have the keep pushing forward though, so that’s what I plan to do.
Hours breakdown:
- Advisor Meeting: Met with John Berton to explain what we did over the week: (2 hours)
- Group Meetings (dailies 3x a week): Went over what we accomplished during the week: (3.5 hours)
- Poster: Advising Avery on some stuff for the poster. Also helped come up with some titles: (2.5 hours)
- Animating: Roughing in animation for sc04 and sc01: (9 hours)
- Rigging: Refining weight painting for whole model and fixing sdks: (7 hours)
Total: 24 Hours
